Admission Process

At The City School, we follow a structured and parent-friendly admission process designed to be clear, efficient, and welcoming. Here's how it works:

Step 1: Enquiry & Application

Fill out the Online Admission Form or collect a form from the school reception. Ensure all required fields are filled accurately.

Step 2: Document Submission

Submit the completed form along with the required documents (see Section 6 below) either physically at the office or via email if applying online.

Step 3: Interaction/Assessment

A brief interaction is scheduled with the student and parents. For higher classes, a written assessment may be conducted.

Step 4: Result Notification

Parents will be informed about the admission status within 3 to 5 working days.

Step 5: Admission Confirmation & Fee Payment

Once selected, parents must confirm the admission by submitting the admission fee and the first installment of tuition fees within the stipulated time.

Our admissions team will remain in close contact with you during every stage.

Eligibility Criteria

We welcome students from diverse backgrounds and aim to place them in age-appropriate classes as per CBSE guidelines. The basic eligibility is as follows:

• Nursery: Child must be 3+ years as of 31st March of the academic year.
• Kindergarten (KG): 4+ years
• Class 1: 5+ years and must have completed KG from a recognized school
• Class 2 and above: Must submit the latest Report Card and Transfer Certificate from the previous school.

Admission to higher classes is subject to seat availability and performance in the assessment/interview.

Required Documents

Please ensure you submit the following documents at the time of admission:

• Birth Certificate (Original + Photocopy)
• Recent Passport-size Photographs (3 each of child & parents)
• Aadhar Card of Student and Parents (Photocopy)
• Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school (if applicable)
• Previous Year Report Card (for Class 2 and above)
• Address Proof (Utility Bill or ID)
• Immunization/Medical Certificate (for Nursery to Class 2)

All documents must be verified before the final admission is confirmed.

Q1: When do admissions begin at The City School?

Admissions typically open in March for the following academic session starting in April.

Q2: Is there an entrance test for all classes?

No. For lower classes (Nursery to Class 1), only an informal interaction is conducted. For higher classes, an assessment and interview are held.

Q3: Are mid-year admissions possible?

Mid-year admissions are only granted in special cases and subject to availability of seats.
